Check sprinkler for possible leaks overspray and damaged heads.  Update your system with more efficient equipment.

Fall planting uses plants that are native to your area.  California and Vancouver have native plants that thrive in their native areas.

Lawn Care … raise mower height to keep your grass greener and use less water.

Plant grasses that require less water and also do not worry if your grass goes brown in dormant periods …. it will come back.

Use broom or a low decibel blower to clean up sidewalks … do not use the hose.

Mulch Mulch Mulch … your lawns and gardens.  Leave clippings on your lawn as it is a natural fertilizer and requires less water.  Garden plants are protected from the sun and mulch acts as an insulator and attracts the beneficials.

Check for plants that are invasive and replace with native cultvars … drought resistant plants.

Make adjustments to the sprinklers … California - Septemeber is the month to turn down sprinklers as days are shorter.
